Carolyn Gaye Williams Farrior was the only child of the late David “Bubba Rubba” Williams and Bernice Bertha Bagley. She was born in Leesburg, FL on October 8, 1937. Her parents’ union was dissolved before her father passed away in 1964.
She was reared in a Christian home under the loving care of her mother and extended family members. Carolyn was a 1954 Lake County Training School Graduate. Her Senior Class Honors included Majorette, All Around Girl, Most Active In Student Activities, Scarlet Honor Cord B and Above Average. She earned a Bethune Cookman College Scholarship and attended Bethune Cookman College for 3 years. She was married to T.R. Farrior and they became the proud parents of four children.
She served as the Rimes Elementary School Secretary (1960s), Administrative Assistant, Department of Children/Families (DCF,1965) until her retirement in 1987. One of her proudest “VOLUNTEER employment” history accomplishments was serving as Secretary and President of the Resident Council during her stay at Avante At Leesburg. Her children lovingly crowned her “Queen Mother”, “Queen Grandmother” and “Queen of Avante”.
She will be greatly missed by her children: LaJuana Farrior-Jackson (Stanley Jamieson), Schuan Chisholm (Marion), Randolf Farrior (Therese), Michael Farrior; grandchildren: Jared Devon Waters (Shakia Moffett), Jordan Denard Jackson, TaJuana Lashay Chisholm, Ashlee Nicole Chisholm, Amanda Monique Farrior, Ranese Farrior, Randal Farrior, Giulia Christine Farrior, Nathalie Michelle Farrior, Gabriel Michael Farrior, Priscilla Victoria Farrior, Tiffany Lowery, Brittny Lowery, Arnett Howerton, cousins: Rhonda Renee Sapp, Norma Gail Jackson, Juanda Boxley, Robert Lee McCall; nephews/nieces: Jacques Jernard Farrior, Kennie Wallace (Michelle); Great Aunt-In-Law: Ernestine Wallace Bagley, Great Grandchildren: Jeremy, Jordan, Joshua, Jonah, Jada, Azy’an Hopkins, Jailen Ramsey, JaKobe Ramsey, JayShaun Ramsey, Danaejah Ramsey, Vanessa Farrior, Noah Tate Farrior, Evan, Elanna, Ethan and a host of sorrowing relatives and friends. “The Queen” will be profoundly missed by her Avante At Leesburg Staff/Family.
