Cheryl “Cherie" Lynne Bradford passed away peacefully at home as she slept in her favorite chair. She was a daughter, a mother to, a little sister, a wife, a grandmother, and a loving friend who never stinted in the love and happiness she gave to those fortunate enough to know her. If you were feeling down or struggling, she would always be there with a kind word and a smile to help lift your spirits, or a shoulder to cry on. In her younger years, she was a loving mother to her two boys, and cared for the neighborhood children as well. Always there with a band aid for a scraped knee, a sandwich when they were hungry, or even a safe space when their home wasn’t. She loved animals and was forever taking in a lost kitten, an injured bird, or even a baby squirrel that fell out of its nest. She could walk through the forest and wild deer would come up to her and eat from her hands. She was a loving soul with a heart of gold. In her later years, she had a rough life with poor health and was in constant pain. Throughout her days dealing with that pain and a slowly failing body, she still chose to smile, still chose to have a kind word for anyone who needed it, and still chose to be thankful for the little things each day, whether it be a beautiful flower she stopped to smell, a rainbow that made her smile, or laughter at her cats antics. Even to her last day, she was spreading love and making people feel special. She was loved beyond measure and will be sorely missed.”
