Ethel Lowe Obituary

Ethel Lee Perkins Lowe, the wife of the Late William Henry Lowe, and the Matriarch of the Perkins-Clinch family responded to the loving call of God welcoming her home on Monday, June 15, 2020 in Rochester, New York. Our Matriarch was the third eldest of Louis and Louvenia Perkins.  She was born July 27, 1920 and was a native Coleman, Florida, where she was one of the pillars of the community. Our Matriarch, affectionately called "Granny" and her husband, The late Uncle Lowe, were the proud parents of five beautiful children.  Vallie  Lee, Willie Mae, James Henry, Janell, and Marilyn.  Two daughters preceded her in death, her two eldest, Vallie Lee Lowe McLean and Willie Mae Lowe Brooks.  A devoted Christian, choir member and long time treasurer and Mother of  Mt. Bethel Baptist Church, Granny's home was the "go to place for dinner" after church on Sundays.  All were welcomed and the food never ran out.  As the Matriarch of the family, Granny's kind heart, sharing and loving spirit personified Christian living.  She led by example, correction and demonstrated caring for family and others in need.  During Granny's golden years as her health declined, her children James, Janell and Marilyn willingly and lovingly provided care for her in Florida and later New York where she peacefully responded to the call of our Heavenly Father. She boarded and took her celestial flight on June 15, 2020.

She leaves to honor her memory and exemplify the strong generational family love, her children

James Lowe ,Janell Brinson ,and Marilyn Crosby, ten grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren, fourteen great great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends and other relatives.
