Tommie Walter Sr. Was born in Thomasville Georgia on July 1, 1931. He received his General Education while living in Thomasville. He married Betty Jean Burgess (Walter} on October 26, 1954 before moving to Center Hill Florida. Tommie retired from Sumter County School District after driving school bus for 23 years. He was a longtime Minister of The Church of Christ Wildwood Florida.Tommie peacefully departed this life on Wednesday April 29, 2026.He was preceded in death by his Wife of sixty five years Betty Jean Walter, Sons Tommie Lee Walter Jr., Garrett E. Walter, and James M. Walter
.He leaves to cherish his memory:
Daughters: Quendlyn (Leroy) Rodgers; Jesup, Georgia and Shara Buggs of Lady Lake, Florida. Sons: Morrisene {Diane) Walter of Lady Lake, Florida; Kenneth Walter of Tampa Florida, Lorenzo Walter of Tampa, Florida.Grandchildren: Calandra (Dale) Deleslin, Candice McCarthy, Alvin C. Fluitt, Latasha Pickard, Dannie (Sandy) Pickard Jr., Fredricka Calloway, Tangela Lewis, Zanetta (Adrian) Bourassa, Morrisene L. Walter,LeaQuan-dria Asbell, Latanya Mosley, Kenneth Mosley Jr., Jordan Walter Alanna WaIter, Decarri WaIter, and Miracle Walter. (28) Great Grandchildren and (3) Great great grandchildren and a host of cousins and sorrowing friends.
